Birds of a Feather... 2/2 (Levi x OC)

Alexandria fidgeted slightly with her black, curly hair and her dark brown eyes were filled with unease. And for the umpteenth time she cursed Hangi for what she said back in the mess hall. For if it weren’t for her, she wouldn’t be in front of Corporal Levi—otherwise known as her crush’s office door, hand half raised almost about to knock.

Alexandria sighed and shook her head. ‘This is silly.’ She thought. ‘What do I honestly think that the Corporal could do to me?’ She sighed again and went to knock on the door. “State your name and business.” Levi’s voice rang out from inside his office.

“Cadet Alexandria sir. And you wan—“Levi cut her off. “Get in here Cadet. Then she slowly turned the knob of the door and entered the office trying as hard as possible to conceal how much what Hangi said affected her. “Sit down Cadet.” Levi commanded.

Alexandria nodded and took a seat in front of the desk where Levi sat behind. She also took in his posture: legs slightly crossed, arms folded across his chest, and his expression completely deadpan. She sighed internally. She really wished she could read peoples expressions and posture like Mikasa could. It would really come in handy at the moment. “So, Cadet.” Corporal Levi started.

“Yes Corpora—“He cut her off again. “Just Levi, Alexandria.” He said. Her eyes widened slightly and she felt her face heat up. That was a first. He never wanted anyone to address him by his first name nor did he just say any of the cadet’s first names without the Cadet part. “So, Alexandria.” Levi started again, his eyes softening for a moment. “About what Shitty Glasses said—“This time it was Alexandria’s turn to interrupt.

“Yes, I am really sorry for that Cor—Levi. It was really silly of her to say that.” As soon as she said that though it was like a spear went through her heart. She didn’t really mean those words, she just had to keep up the façade. Levi was her Corporal after all. But when she looked up at him, she could have sworn she saw a bit of sadness in those eyes she has come to love.

“Hmm. Is that so? Is that what you really think Cadet?” She flinched slightly at his formal use of the term Cadet. “Yes. Otherwise what would the others think? A cadet and a Corporal together? That seems unwise? Now if that’s all Levi, I’ll take my leave.” Alexandria said as she got up and headed towards the door.

Levi rolled his eyes and tched. “Did I say you could leave brat?” Alexandria got a small irk mark from being called a brat. As she went to turn around and come back with a retort though, Levi got up from his desk swiftly and yanked her down from her collar and brought her to his height. “Now, I don’t particularly give a damn about what others think and I’m pretty sure you don’t either.” With that he kissed her soundly on the mouth making her mind go blank and anything she was going to say just disappeared on her lips. After a few seconds she just gave in and it was the sweetest and most romantic kiss she ever had. Their mouths moving perfectly in sync with one another, the passion between them was completely evident.

After they pulled apart for a little thing called oxygen, Alexandria tried to form a sentence, but was failing miserably. “I, you, they.”

Levi smirked. “I’ll take that as you like me as well Alexandria?”

She sighed and nodded. Levi chuckled and kissed both of her cheeks and then pulled her into a hug. “Good. And for the record, I, for once agree with Hangi and the rest of the brats. We do make a cute couple. After all, birds of a feather flock together.”

Alexandria just smiled and enjoyed the warm feeling of her and Levi being together alone in the room in silence. Birds of a feather indeed.
